Real Montana weddings and love stories are my favorites to capture. This is a candid look at some of my most recent wedding and engagement photography sessions. Please feel free to share any of the tips and tricks with the people you think would like to see it and remember to take a moment to wish the newlyweds well!
Planning a wedding is a HUGE and complicated endeavor. You have to conceptualize what you want this day to be like ahead of time and then make a thousand decisions that bring you closer or farther from that original concept. Also, your family and friends probably have plenty of ideas of how your day should go and have been eager to give those ideas to you.
So how do you decide what to do and how to do it so that your day is as amazing as the vision in your head?
I love pulling out real moments and connections between the people I’m photographing. If you’re in love all you need to look great in your photos is to be interacting and your photos will come out just as sweet, loving, or goofy as the two of you are together. If your planning a wedding you will need some photos to show how you feel. Wedding and engagement photos that show the real you looking relaxed and happy is the goal for any photography session.
Thank you so much for supporting Comedy beCASUE 2018. The pre-party this year was held at the YAM, food and drinks were enjoyed and a silent auction was held. The main event was at the Alberta Bair Theater. Our local entertainers were Mark Dawson, Cody Sutton & Conner Roma, the touring acts were Sean McBride & Bijan Mostafavi.
I went to see the family over Christmas and of course, I bought the photo booth with! I used it all weekend to get group shots of family and to just document the weekend as well. My family likes to have fun and the photo booth is a good way to capture the energy and goofiness that happens when we get together.
Just in time for the holidays! The Edgar Bar (where I have been known to craft and consume a few cocktails) requested the presence of photo booth for there ugly Sweater Christmas party! That handsome gentlemen on the left is your's truly, I'm with two of the owners from the Edgar Bar, Kim and Scott (Tyler's in another image down lower). If you are ever traveling between Billings, Red Lodge, or Cody do yourself a favor, swing in for the best steak and shrimp you'll find anywhere!
Last weekend we headed up to beautiful Red Lodge, one of my favorite areas in Montana, for a Maternity session. Sarah and Brock live in Bozeman and haven't spent much time in the Red Lodge area so they decided to make a mini vaca out of it and stayed in Red Lodge over night. In the late afternoon, we headed to Wild Bill Lake just outside of Red Lodge to create some photos.
The photos turned out stunning!
Last Monday was the solar eclipse so Alex and I headed up the Beartooth Pass just outside Red Lodge to view it. In Red Lodge the eclipse had about 90% coverage and happened around 11:30. We headed up the Beartoot and hiked off the road a little bit to find a place to set up camp, have a picnic and chill until the eclipse.
