Red Lodge weddings are among of my favorites and this one is no exception. Kyna and Pete used to live in Red Lodge and are the best kind of people. Real, down to earth and very much in love. I mean, what more could a wedding photographer want?
The wedding ceremony took place on the bank of Rock Creek at Medicine Flower Lodge located just north of Red Lodge, MT. The venue is conveniently located just off of hwy 212 but you would never know with how it’s tucked back in the trees right next to the river.
Medicine Flower Lodge is a beautiful spot if you are looking for an intimate wedding location near Red Lodge, Montana.
For the reception, we headed just up the road where guests enjoyed some brews from one of the oldest microbreweries in Montana; Red Lodge Ales. Mas Taco’s provided appetizers and dinner. Afterwards “Calvin and the Coal Cars” preformed. If you’re not familiar, be sure to check them out, they play my favorite kind of country music.
Kyna didn’t seem to be bothered by the rain and there was a covered spot near the ceremony site, but I didn’t know for sure how she felt about it until I saw her out on the dance floor, spinning and dancing with a huge smile on her face.
Her reaction to the rain got me thinking…
What if it does rain on your wedding day? How will you handle it? Do you have a back up plan? Will you allow it to put a damper on your day (haha) or will you go out and dance?
I hope you go out boldly and dance, it’s so much more fun if you do!
